Since President George W. Bush made the decision of getting some Bush family payback for dad by invading Iraq, The ugly, messy quagmire that it has created is a problem even Karl Rove can't make dissapear by sleight of hand parlour tricks. (Plus, he's busy this week)

To shore up failing support for the war amongst Americans and Republicans, alike... A lot of digging is being done to come up with Iraq / Al Quida connections that give skeptical folks reassurance. That even though the reasons congress was sold on this war were bogus, it was still a great idea due to "recently revealed" terrorist connections in Iraq. Sort of like when my cats tries to jump too high, falls on her ass and has that " I'm cool, I meant to do that " look.

This week's tenuous connection is from the Weekly Standard, a series of Republican Talking Points, bundled into a layout that kinda looks like a magazine.

Fox News Network, being fresh out of white chicks, was on this hot story all day. But I couldn't find it on any other news outlet. Maybe they have a scoop on it. I went to the Weekly Standard. It was in their "Puzzles" section, so I almost missed it.
